Almost Persuaded (Casi Persuadido)

Buenos Dias. ?Como estas? (How are you?) Espero que estas bine. (Hope you are fine.) (Today, I found a song that always makes me think about a man I know.) (When he was in high school, he heard the message of Christ, and he believed it.) (But he wasn’t ready to become a Christian.) No se’ que lo detuvo’. (I don’t know what held him back.) Continuo’ viviendo su vida. (He went about his life.) (He got a job and left the house with his parents.) ‘El no fue un hombre mal. (He wasn’t a bad man.) Pero tuvo; muchos amigos malos. (But he had a lot of bad friends.) Querian que jugara al poquer. (They wanted him to play poker.) Al principio, ‘el no juego’. (At first, he didn’t play.) (But, he was lonely and liked to play games.) (He began to play and when they gave him a beer, he drank it.) No le gustaba a ‘este gente. (He didn’t like these people.) ‘El los llamo’ “animale.” (He called them animals.) (But, they convinced him to gamble, loose money, and get drunk.) (After that, they convinced him to take illegal drugs.) (They introduced him to a girl that only wanted to sleep with him and everyone else too.) Por suerte se scapo’ de ese chia. (Luckily, he escaped from that girl.) (He met a girl who loved God.) (She thought he could be a good man.) Ella le ayudo’ a dejar las drogas. (She helped him leave the drugs.) La amaba por ello. (He loved her for it.) Se casaron. (They got married.) (After they got married, she began to study the Bible and asked for his help with her studies. ) ‘El ka ayudo’. (He helped her.) ‘El dejo’ la cerveza. (He left the beer.) Fueron a la iglesia juntos. (They went to church together.) Recordo’ que casi lo hizo una vez. (He remembered that he almost did it once.) (This time he and she became Christians.) (Their lives after this were very happy.) Ellos ayudaron mucha gente juntos. (They helped a lot of people together.) (They ran a benevolence center for poor people.) Continuaron estudiando la Biblia. (They continued to study the Bible.) Y ellos ensenaba Biblia a mucha gente. (And, they taught Bible to many people.) (People loved both of these people.) (I was so glad he met that woman.) (And I was very happy that he remembered that he almost became a Christian before, and decided to do it the second time.) (Not everyone can have a second chance.) (I hope that if you are almost persuaded, that you do it.) No te arrepentiras. (You won’t be sorry.)

Seems now some soul to say, “Go spirit, go thy way

“Almost” cannot avail. “Almost” is but to fail. Sad, sad that bitter wail, “Almost, but lost.”

“Casi” no puede llegar. “Casi” hace fracso.
