To God Be the Glory (A Dios Sea La Gloria)

Buenos Dias. Como estas hoy? ( How are you today?) He estado muy ocupada hoy. (I have been very busy today.) (My car was at the mechanic’s, and I had to go pick it up.) (After, I had an appointment with the doctor, but I was late because I was at the mechanic’s.) (I had to wait to see the doctor because I was late.) Tengo un sonajero en le pecho. (I have a rattle in my chest.) El medico me dio’medicina para ello. (The doctor gave me medicine for it.) (The doctor also told me I am very delicate.) (It is not the first time a doctor has told me that.) (A doctor said to me once that I need to treat myself like a baby.) (I think I am too much like my father and my grandfather.) (My grandfather had to move where there were beaches to live.) (When my father was born, the doctors said he wouldn’t live to be grown.) (They didn’t want him to leave the hospital, but wanted him to live there.) (But his parent said they wanted him in their house, and they wanted to live with him even if it was for a short time.) (My father and my grandfather both lived until they were grandparents.) Tal vez mi padre era delicado, pero quiso vivir. (Maybe my dad was delicate, but he wanted to live.) (When he was a young man, he held the boxing championship of S. California for thee years.) (He didn’t let the medical problems stop him.) (My parents thought that I shouldn’t leave home.) (They thought they should take care of me the rest of my life.) No quise una vida como alla. (I didn’t want a life like that.) Quise’ vivir. (I wanted to live.) Aprendi’ a cuidarme. (I learned to take care of myself.) (My dad became a health food nut.) ‘El me ensenaba a cuidar a mi mismo. (He taught me to take care of myself.) (The doctors have said that whatever is wrong with me, it isn’t my fault. (And I did even better than my father because I don’t drink alcohol and I don’t smoke, but he did those things.) (The doctors say that other people need more medicine than I do because I take care of myself.) No probe’ drogas porque soy cristiana. (I didn’t try drugs because I am a Christian.) Nunca me he acostado con alguien no estoy casado porque soy Cristiano. (I never slept with someone I am not married to because I am a Christain.) (I have a lot of patience, and I don’t scream at anyone and have never said a cuss word.) Dios me hace feliz. (God makes me happy.) (Because I have listened to my father and to God, I think I will live longer than other people.) Tal vez soy geneticamente delicado, pero he superado gracias a Dios. (Maybe I am genetically delicate, but I have overcome it thanks to God.) Dios nos ayuda en muchas formas. (God helps us in many ways.)
