Buenos Dias. Como esata? (How are you?) Espero que estas bien. (I hope you are fine.) (When I was thinking about what song I want to share with you today in Spanish, I found a song I think that everyone can feel.) Cuando fui jovena, no entiende’ a Dios. (When I was young, I didn’t understand God.) Nadie me llevo’ a la iglesia. (No one took me to church.) No supe’ que Bibila existio’. (I didn’t know the Bible existed.) (Finally, my French teacher was a missionary and I went to his classes on Sunday.) Empieze’ aprender acerca de Dios y de Jesus. (I began to learn about God and Jesus.) (However, I didn’t understand much except I had a father in Heaven that wanted me to be good.) (My teacher gave me small books that had drawings of Jesus and sheep in French, but I didn’t understand French enough to know who Jesus was and who the sheep were.)

(There were pictures of Jesus as the good shepheard that I didn’t understand.)Photo by Quang Nguyen Vinh on Pexels.com

(When we came back to the United States, I met a lot of relatives that I had not met before because my family left the United States when I was very small and stayed for many years.) Mi tia y tio fueron muy amable My aunt and uncle were very kind.) (The invited us to go to church with them.) Fui en a escuela secondaria. (I was in high school.)

Finalamente,ui a America. (finally, I went to America.) Photo by John-Mark Smith on Pexels.com

(I didn’t understand the point to life.) Porque tuve’ a escuchar mi padres? (Why did I have to listen to my parents?) Porque tuve’ a ir a la escuela? (Why did I have to go to school?) Porque tuve’ a hacer cualquier cosa? (Why did I have to do anything?) Porque nace’? (Why was I even born?) Vida no tuvo’ un razon. (Life had no point.) (I had heard about Heaven, but I didn’t know how to go there.) Sin embargo queria ir al Cielo. (However, I wanted to go to Heaven.)

(The people from the church gave me a Bible, and I read the Bible.) Photo by Oladimeji Ajegbile on Pexels.com

(At the church, they gave me a Bible.) Fui a las classes de Biblia. (I went to the Bible classes.) Siempre fue una studenta Buena. (I was always a good student.) Siempre lei’ mucho. (I always read a lot.) Me encantaron los libros. (I loved books.) Lei’ toda la Biblia. (I read the whole Bible.) I found more about God, about Jesus, and about how to go to Heaven.) (I didn’t do everything immediately because I was very shy.) Pero mi cerebro siempre estaba trabjando. (But my brain was always thinking.) (The preacher came to our house to talk to my brother.) ( listened but no one knew because I didn’t speak with anyone then, and no one spoke with me.) (The preacher was very surprised when I got the courage to ask him to baptize me.) (I wanted to go to Heaven, and I had decided to do what I had been studying in the Bible.)

Depues de bautizarme, de repente tuve’ muchos amigo amables. (After my baptism, suddenly I had a lot of kind friends.) Photo by mentatdgt on Pexels.com

Nunca habia sido parte de nada. (I had never been part of anything.) (But after I was baptized, I found that the people at the church, accepted me more than I had ever been accepted in my life.) (I finally learned to talk to people speaking with the Christians because they were so kind.) Encontre’ mi razon de vivir! (I found my reason to live!) (God, Jesus, and Heaven are the reason to live.) (God, Jesus, and Heaven are the reasons to go to school to be a good daughter, to be a good student, to be a good mother, to be a good woman.) (God, Jesus, and Heaven are the reasons to try in life.)
