Feliz Navidad (Merry Christmas)

Buenos Dias. (How are you this day before Christmas Eve?) (Have you begun to eat the food for Christmas yet?) (We have a plan to go to the store today to buy more flour, meat, and more to make more Christmas food.) (Now, we are only two people in our house.) Por lo tanto, no necesitamos mucho. (Therefore, we don’t need much.) (When my children were small, I made Christmas cookies every day for a week before Christmas, but now, if I made them, we couldn’t eat all those cookies.) (For a song today, I decided to send you a Christmas carol that is in both Spanish and English.)

When I was teaching Spanish in a high school in Texas, there was a Mexican boy in my class. (He could already speak Spanish, but he was taking the class for high school credit.) ‘El siempre hacia bromas. (He always made jokes.) (With this song, I want to tell you his joke.) ‘El canto’ ‘este cancion asi’ : (He sang this song like this:)

Instead of singing “Feliz navidad,” he sang to the same tune: “the Police stole my car,” and then he sang “Prospero ano y felicidad.”
